Wildside fabric designs

‘Wildside’ is a new venture into textile art for me.  I have collaborated with Pru Bolus of Langa Lapu Fabrics and her team of hard working women from the local Kurland Community to produce a new range of textiles inspired by the floral diversity of South African Fynbos (meaning ‘fine bush’), the smallest but richest of the world’s floral kingdoms.  My original designs are screen-printed by hand and then made into colourful cushions and tablecloths, all with a botanical theme.  The process of creating the range has been a very creatively stimulating process. The collaboration has been an energizing experience for me as I usually work on my own, and it has been rewarding seeing the range come to its fruition.  I am itching to do new designs now….
